i just posted a bunch of new items on my website. some girls, some guys, some unisex, but all an improvement for six barrel as we continue to step up. i try to bring each new piece to completion based on something i love, something i felt, or something i dream about. thank you for reading my blog as well as checking out my site. i want to not only be a clothing designer but to interact with my supporters as well.
this hoodie was attempted once before and this time i came up with a better look. i love the way this turned out. the font on the back is perfect for the size and for what it says “a hooliguns life for me” i guess one main part of being a hooligun is making everyone around me laugh. if i can succeed at that i feel accomplished.
i sold this v-neck on warped tour and although it was not a huge seller this is definitely one of my favorite pieces i’ve made. i try to run alot both to stay in shape and its a very mind clearing time for me. i often listen to thriving ivory’s “angels on the moon.” its both inspiring and grounding it gets alot of emotions running thru my body.

a few months back i decided to get my armpits tattooed. deciding what to put in them took me a bit of time. something iconic, something fun, and as always with my tattoos something meaningful. i have always wanted a disney tattoo for reasons im about to explain but felt they boarder on the edge of trashiness. i go to disneyland about 3 times a month and every single visit i see that 200+ lb lady from the midwest who yes has a mullet at cliche as that sounds, a fanny pack she got free from some diet company, jean shorts from lee, white hi-tops with aggressive hiking tread on them, and a iowa college football tank to show off her grayish-green eeyore armband tat.with that being said i dont think just because i get a disney tattoo im going to move to the midwest and give up on life, but i have to be honest and say its something that crossed my mind as i debated on joining the ink of disney club.
in 1955 my grandfather was working just down the street from some orange groves in anaheim. times were rough and he was laid off. his boss loved him and his work ethic so he said ‘why dont you go down the road a bit, there is a man down there bulldozing a ton of orange trees and he is trying to build something. im sure he can use your skills.” my grandfather did just that. he walked into the offices, met with a man named walt and was hired. my grandfather worked at disneyland from the day it started until he retired (he even has 2 elephants from the jungle cruise in his backyard). during his many years there 25 other family members worked at disneyland with him. some worked in the retail stores, some on the rides and some in the warehouses. while being interviewed one of my uncles was asked “where would you like to work?” he said “id like to sweep up trash” when he got the trash sweeping job his sisters said “you can do anything in the park you want, why would you want to sweep up trash” he smiled at them and said “i get to walk around the whole park everyday and look at all the lovely……ladies” another aunt and uncle actually met while they both worked at disneyland.
disneyland = the magic kingdom. to my family it sort of is. so for my grandfather, my family, my memories as a child going there and being scared of just about every single ride, and the many memories to come ‘these pits are for you!’
