a real vacation

i just spent 1 full week of vacation in the wilderness of oregon. it was everything a hollywood blockbuster would make it out to be.  i stayed in my cabin (at night the doors were wide open to let in the clean air and moon light.) i woke early most mornings kayaked the river just behind my cabin and heard nothing but my paddle digging deep into the water.  after breakfast i cruised my bike on the paths around the cabins where deer would look at me as if i was the one out of place. i spent some time at the pool, ran a ton of miles (getting ready for the disneyland 1/2 marathon), and took a few horse rides as the sun would set. 

at the end of the week i found a fun little ‘wave’ that became my new obsession. (pictures below)

it was an amazingly relaxing week. something i wont soon forget. 

make sure you take time in your life to reflect on who you are, the things you have accomplished and what you have around you.
